EBSCOHOST GUIDE

EBSCOHOST is composed of a number of databases for researching topics in many academic disciplines in current, as well as back issues of journals, magazines, and newspapers. It provides online full text articles for much of the periodical literature covered, which can be printed, downloaded, or emailed.

SEARCHING FROM WITHIN CCNY AND OFF CAMPUS

CCNY faculty, students and research staff must register online and then login to use these resources. Clicking the purple line can access all resources on the Quick Links Menu.  A login screen will appear if you are trying to access these resources from off campus, while on campus the link to these resources will go directly through to the database search screen.

The first page shown lists databases that are available for searching. Each database listed gives a brief description of its subjects. Click the “More Information” link for a complete description of the database. To search any one of these databases individually, click the name of the database. To search two or more databases at the same time, put a check in the box in front of the databases of your choice and click the “Continue” link located at the top or the bottom of the page.

Additional options are available to refine your search.

Each result is numbered, and the available formats for the article are displayed-–HTML full text, PDF full text, or linked full text.
