JSTOR provides full-text access to more than 300 scholarly journals offering more than 886,000 full-length articles going back to 1838. Here are the subject areas addressed: African American Studies, African Studies, Anthropology, Archeology, Asian Studies, Botany, Ecology, Economics, Education, Finance, Geography, History, Language & Literature, Latin American Studies, Mathematics, Middle East Studies, Philosophy, Political Science, Population Studies, Slavic Studies, Sociology, and Statistics. Updated frequently, JSTOR covers important research articles, reviews, opinion pieces, and other items published in key journals.

Select “Browse the Journals” from the top JSTOR page. You can browse journal titles, arranged under subject groupings. Click on a journal title that interests you, use the menus to select volume and issue, and then browse the list of journal articles.

From the top JSTOR page click on “Search JSTOR”.
Searching for a Specific Article: Enter the author and title keyword(s) in the appropriate boxes, then click on “Expand the Journal List” at the bottom of the page and specify the journal title by marking the box.

You can also search using full text keyword(s) and limit you search by date or
subject groupings of journals.
Having
displayed a list of journal article titles, click on
View Article to display the full
text article.
You can print an article from JSTOR, starting from either the citation (click on the Print hypertext link) or the full text display (click on Print in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen).
A dialogue box appears which asks "what do you want to do with this file". Click on Open it and then click on the OK button. The document is transferred to your PC, where it is viewable using Acrobat Reader. Click on File/Print on the menu bar. When a print dialogue box appears, select the print range (All, Current Page, or a range of Pages) and click on OK.
Downloading: You can download an article from JSTOR, starting from either the citation (click on the Download hypertext link) or the full text display (click on Download in the menu on the left-hand side of the screen).
Enter a drive and filename with a pdf extension (eg. H:\jstor.pdf).
Click on Save.
